Money buys the challenge.
It never buys the rank.

Every seat on this site was taken from somebody in a public vote. That is the whole product, and these are the rules that make it true.

1

Add your product

You add your own product, not somebody else’s. We ask for an email and a DNS record so the founder on the leaderboard is the real one.

2

Pick a seat

Every category has its own board. Pick the seat you want, from #1 down to the bottom of the list.

3

Pay the challenge price

The price is set by the seat, not by you. It buys the fight, and nothing else. There is no version of this site where money moves you up the board.

4

The holder gets warned

The battle does not open the moment you pay. We email the current holder and they have 12 hours to see it coming and call their own people in.

5

The community votes

Voting runs for 24 hours. One vote per person, checked before it counts. Votes that fail the check are removed and the number of removals is printed on the battle page.

6

Clear the margin, take the seat

A simple majority is not enough for a good seat. The higher the seat, the bigger the margin you have to clear.

7

Lose and keep the exposure

If you fall short, the holder keeps the seat and you keep everything else: your profile, the supporters you gained, the traffic we sent you and a permanent page for the battle.

What a seat costs and what it takes

the same table for everyone
SeatChallenge priceShare of the vote you need
#1$4965%
#2 to #3$2960%
#4 to #10$1555%
#11 to #25$851%
#26 and below$551%

The margin exists because the person paying is the motivated one. Without it, whoever pays would win every time and the leaderboard would just be a price list.

Starting from an empty board

A seat nobody holds can be claimed without a fight. Once somebody holds it, the only way to take it is to win a vote.

Keeping the vote honest

  1. One vote per visitor per battle.
  2. A bot check runs before a vote is counted.
  3. Votes that fail are stored, not silently dropped.
  4. The number removed is printed on the battle page.
  5. We do not publish the thresholds, because that is a map for whoever wants to cheat.

What we will not do

  1. Sell a seat directly, at any price.
  2. List a product without its owner asking us to.
  3. Hide how a battle was decided.
  4. Count a vote we could not verify.
