We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third party analytics. This page lists every cookie the site can set, so you can check it against what your browser shows.

What we set

whowins-theme

Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. Stored in your browser, carries no identifier, never sent anywhere. Strictly a preference.

site_access, only before launch

While the site is closed, this holds the access key so you do not have to paste it on every page. It disappears once the site is public.

whowins_admin, moderators only

Keeps a moderator signed in for twelve hours. Never set for ordinary visitors.

What the bot check sets

Before a vote is counted we run Cloudflare Turnstile. It may set a short lived value to confirm the check passed. Turnstile is designed not to profile you across sites and we receive only a pass or fail.

What we do not do

• No advertising or retargeting cookies.
• No third party analytics scripts.
• No cross site tracking, no data sold or shared for marketing.

How votes are counted without an account

We count one vote per person using a one way hash of your network address, browser and language, not a cookie and not your raw address. The hash cannot be turned back into your address. The full detail is in the privacy policy.

Turning them off

Blocking the theme cookie only means the site forgets your theme. Blocking the Turnstile check means votes cannot be verified and will not count. Questions:legal@whowins.lol.
